Samsung UN24H4500 24-Inch 720p 60Hz Smart LED TV Review

It's light, has good sound, a great picture, and is easy to get out of the box and plugged in. I bought it to use without connection, completely WiFi, and it's good for the purchased services. However, the use of the "smart hub" is not as simple as one might think, and using the browser is difficult because of the on screen typing mode. I've gone back to Samsung to get more information on the apps, as it only shows about 40 on the screen, but the Samsung website says they have over 1000. And herein lies a problem with the TV, not being able to simply search for an app, but having to go through all of the different apps to find the one you want. Of course, for a cheap TV, that you want to use wirelessly, this is a pretty good bet.

Follow-up, after emails, chats, and phone calls with Samsung and Verizon. Samsung advertises that their TVs have a Verizon FiOS app. Even Verizon talks about how great the FiOS app is. One of the reasons I bought the Samsung is the FiOS app. Now I find that the 28in Samsung "smart" TVs do not support the FiOS app. One technician says it's because the TV is too new, another says it's because the TV doesn't have enough RAM, Verizon says, "talk to Samsung." If you've thought that you'd be able to use this without a cable box, to watch occasional information you've already paid for through your FiOS subscription, beware! I'm more than disappointed in Samsung for not making this clear, and I'll be looking at Visio and LG as soon as I finish this review.
